About Event

How can charities and community organisations quickly shift their services online during the Covid19 pandemic?

Join our July virtual Meetup for a ‘show and tell’ from a selection of local social organisations that are doing just that during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This month’s speakers include:

  • Jo Crease, CEO, Together Co Jo from Together Co, the loneliness charity in Brighton, will share her team’s experience of having to rapidly rethink how to best engage with over 300 befriending volunteers and service users online during the Covid19 pandemic.

  • Abi Cox, Head of Digital Products & Russell Booth, Head of Marketing, Change Grow Live Abi and Russell from Change Grow Live, a national health and social care charity, will share some of the ways they’ve been supporting people and keeping staff and volunteers connected using tech.

They'll share their practice, tips and challenges, and you'll have a chance to ask questions and share your own ideas and experiences.

This is part of the Tech for Good Brighton's Covid-19 Digital series - it's a friendly space for local charities and community organisations to collaborate and find peer support, run in collaboration with Community Works and Digital Brighton & Hove. We can already confirm that our next session will cover digital safeguarding and safety for local organisations designing new services or taking existing ones online.

Please note this event will be recorded so we can share it with people that can't make it in person.
