About Event

​This event will be hosted by Chinmayi Balusu, an undergrad sophomore at Columbia University pursuing a mix of neuroscience, life sciences, and medical humanities.

​She is the founder and CEO of Simply Neuroscience, an international non-profit organization based on interdisciplinary neuroscience education, outreach, and awareness. Chinmayi is also a student researcher, youth science communicator, girls in STEM advocate, martial artist, and natural explorer.

​Finding STEM opportunities as a young student is difficult--bring the humanities and non-science related fields into the mix and it feels impossible to get involved in interdisciplinary STEM. In this event, Chinmayi will be discussing my own experiences with pursuing interdisciplinary STEM as well as share ways students can embrace their STEM and non-STEM interests early on.
