Technical Interview Bootcamp: Series #4

​Hello Interns!

​SERIES DESCRIPTION: If you are like me and keep saying you'll do prep for technical interviews but have trouble doing so consistently, this is a great place to get started. We will be hosting biweekly Saturday sessions where we have an experienced interviewer walk us through solving problems and give tips on how to be successful with whiteboard coding interviews. We also will match you with another intern for 1:1 mock interview sessions every two weeks, so you can get hands on practice, and approach the problems we will go over in the group sessions yourself.

​THIS WEEK: We are learning from an R&D Engineer, Brian, who has 9+ years of experience at Kitware Inc. We will be going over just one problem this time, feel free to give the problem a shot yourself or with your partner.

​For this session, I will be interviewing Brian. He will write the code in Python on Leetcode and share his screen. He will not have prepared a solution, and will solve the problem as though he was in an actual interview.

​Intro question: Tell me about a time you had to learn a new technology on your own. What resources did you use? What was your learning process?

​Coding question: N-queens: https://leetcode.com/problems/n-queens/ This is a CLASSIC problem! It is hard, but every interview candidate should be familiar with it!
